Tummy Butter from Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Range
When your tummy starts to stretch to make room for the little baby growing inside, skin can feel pretty painful or itchy. I remember at some point I had such strong aches caused by skin stretching that I got panicked something wrong might be going on and almost rushed into the hospital. Whatever it feels like one things is true – expanding tummies can leave stretch marks on the tummy skin! And no one wants that!
Creams and lotions against stretch marks may not always help prevent and get rid of them but they do soothe the skin and help with the itching and the ache.
At the beginning I relied on alternative treatments such as oil, either olive oil from my cooking supplies or pure argan oil which I have stocked from my trips to Bulgaria. As my tummy grew it was obvious I would need a proper skin stretching treatment. There are hundreds of products on the market, some are cheap, some are unreasonably expensive. I had no one to consult and ask for recommendations, so I just risked it and trusted my own instincts buying Tummy Butter from Palmer’s Cocoa Butter skin range. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter are a really good brand. I have tried a number of product from them and have never been disappointed.
Cocoa butter is widely known to be one of the best natural treatments for chipped and scarred skin. It is one of the most stable fats and is gathered with antioxidants which is why it can’t fail when used in cosmetics.
Palmer’s Tummy Butter is really thick and greasy, just like really edible butter. The cocoa also gives it a nice smell. It is very easy to apply on the skin and absorbs quickly, however depending on how much you use, it may leave white marks on your clothes, especially if clothing is dark colour. Most importantly though it soothes the pain and the itching on the skin. I am being truly honest here, my pain caused by skin stretching disappeared within a day after starting to use the butter. I use it three to four times a day.
I cannot guarantee whether it will help to prevent or reduce stretch marks, it really depends on the individual skin. For now I am lucky enough not to witness any stretch marks appearance. Whether this is because of this product or my skin type I cannot say. But my tummy skin is soft and moisturized and there is no pain, just occasional little itching discomfort which is gone once I apply the butter.
All in all, Palmer’s Tummy Butter is totally recommended! It is reasonably priced and does what it says on the tin!
You can find Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Tummy Butter at Boots for £5.60 or any independent pharmacy, as well as big food chains.
