I have used the Mamas & Papas Moove Travel System for a while now so I thought I’d give it a review.
We went shopping for a pram two weeks before baby was born. We had to act fast. This made shopping quite a frustrating and daunting task. Pushchairs were either too expensive or did not include everything we needed or simply did not look nice.
Mamas & Papas is an expensive place to buy baby products, as nice as they are. So I never considered it an option. However on my last day at work before leaving on maternity, my wonderful work mates gave me a nice Mamas & Papas voucher as a gift. So it was spent accordingly and added up towards the pram price. The Moove Package which we ended up buying includes a pushchair, foot muff, changing bag, parasol and rain cover in a nice poppy red colour. It is travel system compatible with a matching car seat and adaptors which we also purchased.
GAP is a fashion brand that I like a lot. And their kids section has been a favourite for a while as I am lucky to still fit into some of their kids clothes. Since Maya was born I visit their baby and kids sections a lot more often. And I absolutely love their baby clothes. They are cute and pretty and at very affordable prices, especially if there is a sale on. Maya already has a few GAP pieces like this super cute striped bodysuit.
My lovely Maya is now the size of a newborn! She is two months old! Poor thing. She was the tiniest baby in the hospital, so small to fit in even in the tiniest of baby clothes. But it looks like I now can plan to dress her up when we go out. Not that we can go out in the cold and wet weather that is in London, but still.
I am well known for my weakness for doted and striped pattern clothes. Expectedly baby clothes have followed the trend.
Here are some photos I managed to take of her in one of my favourite dotted outfits. Clothes are a gift from a lovely friend of mine!
Before becoming a mum I was always a bit irritated at other mums for becoming so obsessed with their babies. Come on, there is another life out there!
But here I am! No exception to the rule! My conversations are always about my little Maya, baby feeding, nappy changing, baby colic, etc. All boring housekeeping stuff, I know. But I can’t help it! And speaking of being a mum, here is a knitting pattern for a newborn baby set!
I now know how important and yet frustrating it is to keep track of a newborn baby development and general activities such as feeding and sleeping patterns. Thankfully being a mum in the digital age is much easier than what it used to be 30 years ago, so here I would like to give my recommendations for a fantastic iPhone app that can be a life saviour to all mums and mums-to-be.
Baby Connect is a paid application. It costs £2.99 from the app store but is totally worth it. It is a really comprehensive baby tracking applications with trending charts and graphical reports on all the important bits, feeding, nappy changing, sleep, medication, etc.
My beautiful daughter was born three weeks earlier than expected! After a rough pregnancy, insecurity, fear and gruelling few hours of labour holding her next to my skin was the total worth it experience! I would go over again through all the toughness for that moment!
I am trying to take pictures of her every day but she is not an easy one to be photographed! Here are some photos I have managed to sneak! Here is my lovely baby Maya!
This is not a maternity dress. You would be hard pressed to find a decent maternity clothing. Not to mention as pretty as this favourite dress of mine. It has a high waist line and is prefect to accommodate a pregnant tummy. I have been lucky enough to be able to wear it throughout my pregnancy. Since it has been a while since I last posted any outfits, you can imagine there is nothing exciting about maternity wear worth sharing, I thought it is high time I give this dress the praise it deserves! And the shoes! But I’ll come to those later.
I have a great obsession with dresses. I love them! There is something very feminine in wearing a dress!
A few years ago I was working in Richmond. Just by the station there is a Joy store. I doubt, but if you are no familiar with Joy I strongly recommend you go and check them out. The best dresses in town! Retro style, print, peter pan collar, whatever you fancy is in there. So one morning as I was headed to work I noticed this dress on the window.
