I have been writing book reviews on my blog for a while now. I am in no way a book critic and frankly I find it hard to write a good informative review of a book, but I still would like to share my recommendations for a good read. I don’t think I can talk about structure, plot, characters, etc but I can talk about why I enjoyed a book and how it has made me feel.
Here is a post for a book, Left Neglected, I have enjoyed from start to finish. For the clever title, for the problem it discusses, for its optimism and happy ending despite a tragedy. I discovered Lisa Genova as a writer earlier this year with her book Still Alice. Then I put her second book, Left Neglected, to my to- read list, and having read it as well, I am planing to read her third book, which has only just come out, Love Anthony.
It has been a while since I last wrote about the books I read. I am pleased to say I am still sticking to my “a book a month” resolution. However, I never managed to sit down and write reviews on the books I have read.
The book I started in March, I never finished! It was a book as boring as hell! And as I don’t like writing negative comments I am not going to post a review. Some might like it, but it definitely wasn’t my type of book.
In April I read the best seller Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert. This book has been on my shelf for a while but I only now managed to read it. Committed is the sequel of Eat Pray Love, which I am sure has no need of introduction.
