With the cold months approaching I wanted to do a knitted dress for Maya. Not that she doesn’t have knitted dresses. She has a few really pretty ones made for her from relatives and friends. But I wanted to do one myself. And I also wanted to take the challenge to design the pattern myself.
Let’s Knit Magazine recently published a nice pattern for a men’s hat and scarf set. It took me quite a lot of time to complete it but I managed to do so before Christmas and add it to Andon’s Christmas present.
I recently finished a knitting project for a friend’s little baby girl. I made little Lilie a hat and a poncho to keep her warm in the cold months.
Both the hat and the poncho are fully knitted in the Lace Mash pattern and follow some simple finishing up instructions. I am a big fan of that pattern as it is easy to follow and has a pretty and elegant effect.
I definitely recommend beginners to give it a go especially if you’d like to challenge yourself with a lace pattern.
Last month’ edition of Let’s Knit Magazine featured a photo of a lovely knitted jumper with little owls achieved with the cable stitch. There was no instructions but I somehow managed to figure out how to do knitted owls. So I made this little hand knit bag which made a great birthday present for my friend Emily.
